Guaymas Investment and Manufacturing Background
Guaymas is located on the Gult of Californa in the southern part of the state of Sonora. Traditionally it has been an important sea port, although currently the port is not a major shipping hub due to lack of investment. The economy in Guaymas is heavily focused on the fishing, tourism and the Manufacturing sector.
Maquiladora Sector
Guaymas is the home to The Offshore Group, one of the larger shelter companies operating in Mexico. The Offshore Group is the primary employer in the city and owns most of the high grade industrial real estate available in the city. For logistics, the city is connected by a port, a small airport and a well kept toll road running straight to the US border in Arizona.
