Mexicali Manufacturing Guide
Mexicali is one of the major manufacturing cities in Baja California. Located 200 miles inland from San Diego in the imperial valley, Mexicali is not located in the most pleasant of environments, but it has a great reputation for manufacturing. With over 350 maquiladora's operating with many thousands of employees, a lower turnover rate and lots of available real estate and good infrastructure, Mexicali is a safe bet for manufacturing.

Investment incentives for each city will be administered by the city's investment promotion agency. This is a government agency (or non profit organization) whose goal is to encourage investment in the region. At no cost, they will provide guidance on how best to approach setting up a maquiladora in the region including tours, site visits and of course any city related investment incentives.
